Aberystwyth starling roost fest

As dusk approaches, countless starlings gather over the rooftops at Aberystwyth making swirling patterns in the sky. Then in squadrons, they abruptly descend to take up roosting perches under the pier.
Larch Cottage Nursery commission

Another enjoyable commission! Peter Stott wants unusual, quirky, tending to abstract photos at Larch Cottage in nearby Melkinthorpe for a gallery on his new website. This work provides a different challenge to my usual garden work of purely representational images.

Restoration of Lowther Castle and Gardens

I am currently working on an ongoing commission documenting the work at the castle. The first phase of this project will take three years and is supported by grants totalling 8.9 million pounds. I am loving the fascinating and varied work which often involves clambering up scaffolding for the best viewpoints.
